Advice

TE 150, is not a class where you will be successfull if you just sit in class and take notes. This class allows you to think about the big ideas, and how you want to apply it to real world situations. To learn the most, come prepared to class. READ the book and the extra material that is assigned. Also, do the homework that is given to you at the end of each class period. This allows you to prepare for the exam, but it also allows you to see it in a situation where you will probably be faced with a scenario like the ones given in the homework. This class gives you many opportunities to put different theories and ideas into context. It also allows you to reflect on your learning experiences. So i guess to be as successfull as you can in this class, really put into it what you want to get out of it. If you want to be a good teacher, make sure that everything you do in the class is of quality. Take advantage of the knowledge your classmates have about a subject. Stay involved with class discussions, go to class, listen to the professors advice. They have way more experience than you do, so talk to them. Communicate with them and your classmates. But most importantly ENJOY THE CLASS!! Its a great one!!
